For a long time, I hesitated to start this blog. I don’t consider myself particularly special—just someone trying to challenge myself creatively and document the process along the way. I recently read Start Ugly by David Duchemin, and it reinforced the idea that waiting for the perfect moment or polished skills would only keep me stuck. So, here I am, embracing imperfection and moving forward.
At the heart of this journey is Lagom, a Swedish concept that translates to “just the right amount.” It’s about balance—not too much, not too little—applied to everything from daily habits to creative pursuits. It’s about being present, making intentional choices, and understanding that progress doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.
Through this blog, I’ll be sharing my experiences as I take on a range of creative projects. These projects are about more than just the final results—they’re about the process, the lessons learned, and the experience of simply creating. Alongside some hands-on projects, I’m also working on something just as important: being present. It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of future achievements, but part of embracing lagom is appreciating where I am right now while still moving forward.
This blog isn’t about expertise or perfection—it’s about experimenting, learning, and sharing the journey. If you’re also trying to create, grow, or simply be more present in your own life, I hope this space inspires you to start ugly and see where the path leads.
